FCBD 2025 Conan The Barbarian #1

First off, let me start by saying that since Titan has taken over publishing the Conan titles, they have consistently been knocking it out of the park. Savage Sword is one of my favorite title coming out these days. So, am I biased? Absolutely. I also know a good Conan story from a bland one. Jim Zub is superb in the writing department, and this is no exception. This is a prelude to the upcoming event taking place this summer/fall and it sets everything up perfectly. Ivan Gil's art is fitting for this story, however can be hit or miss in a few places and the colors tend to muddy it up a bit in places (honestly, this may have benefitted from the Savage Sword Black and White approach. Again. I may be biased). The book ends with a reveal of the big baddie for the upcoming story/event. I'm not going to spoil it, but this will be good.
