Once upon a time, there was a little independant comic with a lot of potential! It was a retelling of classic fairy tales in a modern setting with a wonderfully dark humor to it. But after a while, they started to run out of well known fairy tales. (Much like the very end of the Classics Illustrated Jr. series, I mean have you ever read the Runaway Dumpling?!). Instead of letting go gracefully, the creators saddled it with an ongoing storyline and totally perverted it into something else. This next incarnation seemed to have promise. An animated version basicly starting from scratch. Being animated, it might rely less on massive boobage and gore and more on story. Instead, I got even more clevage (imagine Archie's Veronica inflated to Double D!) and even more gore and sexyness. Now, I am not saying this is a bad thing. All I am saying is that the term animation was very deceptive. I have to assume that the animated series will either appear on CineMax After Dark or the Playboy channel. Again, this is not neccesarily a bad thing. However, I could have done without Hansel's full body oil massage of the evil witch while her sexy flesh outfit slides off! One more time, not a bad thing ... just was expecting something different.
