A fun period piece about the true story behind the Jersey Devil, if you believe in such things. Printed under James Tynion's 'True Weird' imprint (Blue Book), he and co-writer Steve Foxe give us an educated boy in Henry Naughton. His father has died in an as yet undisclosed accident, and his family needs help at home. He's frowned upon by his mother and brother, mocked by town folk, but he has seen something. Something he can't explain. Something given up from the bowels of the earth. Something cursed.

Piotr Kowalski's (Where Monsters Dwell, Christmas 365) art has always had a throwback old work print feel too it, making it an excellent fit for the material.

One bonus Graham for the flashback sequence at the end of the book.
