When Naruto, Sasuke, Sakura, and Kakashi receive a mission to escort reporter April O’Neil and the mutation research she’s safeguarding back to her home of Big Apple Village, they aren’t expecting to be attacked by the Foot Clan. The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles arrive just in time to defeat the Foot’s ambush, but despite their shared enemy, the two teams have a lot to learn about each other if they’re going to get along! With the story set up done in #1, #2 explains the origin stories for the Turtles in this universe and how that relates to our Team 7. This issue is heavier on the expository but that doesn't make it any less enjoyable as we ramp up to the conflict in the upcoming issues.

If you've read that Naruto series, you know they have some tech advancements here and there that are not really explored much. The creative team behind this book expand on that to a degree. Without going in too much, I love what they have done with it and how they crafted a psuedo-sewer system as part of the Big Apple village that makes sense to the story they are telling. If you know tons about the turtles, then none of the information will come as a surprise. Their story fits seamlessly and even relates to the plight of Naruto and how he's felt in regards to his nine-tailed fox situation.

This series has been so fun and corny, defiantly a breath of fresh air. It's radical, man. And we get the cast eating pizza soon? Also, I have never been more excited for the villain we know as Shredder than I am for the next issue!!!!

Oh? Why did I phrase it that way? Hehe. Read this issue!
