Every time I hear that Thunder Agents is coming back for another go round, I secretly giggle. Back in the 1960's when the title was being put out by Tower Comics, it was a title that had mass appeal. It successfully combined the then current fade of super spies (such as Man for Uncle and I Spy) with the traditional superhero themes at the time. We had a super...man, a speedster, a mentalist ala the Doom Patrol's Mento, and an interesting cross between a mystery Batman type and the Red Tornado. The problem is that I think that the cases that the Thunder Agents deal in are ones that don't promote an ongoing series. At least 6 different companies have resurrected the team from Limbo only to return it there after a dozen issue or so. Although this series is starting off slow, (Remember the rule of Number 1 issues people!) writer Phil Hester may be pacing the storyline as not to blow through it in a matter of six or eight issues. This is a series I'd like to see get past a 25th issue.
